This wine comes from our best vineyards . The result is an aromatic wine, structured and balanced .
These vines are aged 15-35 years with a planting density of 4500 plants / ha.
Yields are reasoned by a suckering in the strain and systematic stripping of négrettes and syrah .
2014: superb vintage . em> A classic year for the region with a relatively mild winter and a rainy spring . A classic summer, warm and relatively dry and sunny harvest allowed to harvest mature . With the good weather , so we got a really exceptional in quality flavors and silky tannins vintage.
Constant work of monitoring plots was used to select the vines best suited to this wine. If the stalk is not systematic , the vinification and aging are based on the work of fruity and firmness of this wine through various techniques: temperature controls , load shedding and micro- oxygenation. After about 18 months in vats without fining or filtration, Château CAHUZAC is assembled and bottled two months later. It is based at least 3 - month shot blocked before marketing .
Ruby and brilliant to very firm red and purple hues .
Intense nose, very expressive style wall ( candied orange ) side mocha , coffee bean , roasted .
The balance in the mouth is the softness and roundness. Very aromatic wine notes of orange , ripe fruit (cherries ) . The liquorice side gives a slight feeling of freshness.
Dishes Southwest (breast , duck confit , etc. . ) , Grill, salads , grilled fish (tuna, salmon). But also preparations of meat with fruits ( orange duck , veal or pork hocks with orange zest , duck with cherry , fruit pudding ) or preparations of vegetables ( sautéed vegetables ) .
